What are the costs involved in having a website?

There are five main costs associated with having a website:

1. Domain name registration
   
   A domain name uniquely identifies a website. Typing a domain name (also called a URL) into your browser allows you to visit that site.
   
   Domain names can be used as a company's web address and for its email addresses. Domains are much more than just names typed into a web browser.
   
   Your domain name is how the world will think of you and your business. It's part of your brand and your marketing plan. You can have multiple domains that each relate to some aspect of your business. A domain can be easy to remember and help establish you on the web.
   
   Domain names are $ 10.00 per calender year payable in advance.
   
   
2. Website design and development
   
   Starter Package - $400.00 (1-3 pages)
   Standard Package $ 700.00 (4-6 pages)
   Medium Package $1200.00 (7-12 pages)
   Large Package $2500.00 (13-20 pages)
   E-Commerce Shopping Carts from $2500.00
   
   
3. Website hosting Linux Packages
   
   Small 10mb $12.50 per month
   Medium 20mb $18.00 per month
   Large 40mb $30.00 per month
   Windows Standard $33.75 per month
   Shopping Cart $70.00 per month
   Shopping Cart with SSL $80.00 per month
   
   
4. Website maintenance
   
   All of our clients prefer us to take care of everything for them including website maintenance or updates. if you should require us to maintain your website, our designers hourly rate is $40.00. Please note unlike other webdesigners, We only charge for work actually carried out, for example if a task took me 15 minutes, We would not charge a minimum of an hour, rather we would accumulate the fee over time and invoice once our time has reached an hour and charge out at the end of the month.
   
   
5. Search engine submission
   When weconstruct a website, we place code "behind the scenes" of your website, however in order for people to actually find your website, it needs to be submitted to the search engines. My rate: $40.00 per domain name

Note:- All prices listed here are just to get you an idea about the costs involved in a web design project. All projects are different and rates are proportional to the complexity and effort invloved. An average client pay less than the price listed above. Its all flexible ;)
